What might make this particular design better is a plainer background. The plaid seemed distracting to me. A light gradient with an inset would compliment the orb. Also, you might throw a logo into the orb, too. This isn't critisism, by the way. It's just an idea.

supercalifragi..something. aside to Shotgun989. if he follows your suggestions, he ends up with just another gradient/logo WP (which I wouldn't d/l...already have one like that. Just an idea...and an opinion. no battles over this,pls.
