Here since 2002 and your first skin. Way to go.
Dark skins are nice but there are areas that need to lightened up a bit. all areas cna't be black or very dark Grey. I do a lot of work with microsoft office products. Email for one and Word for another are just not usable as everything is much to dark. There are other text issues.
Just pointing that out for future. Other than that nice work on your first.

Search bar font color ? wanted that dark or isn`t it light just to save time?.
Its your first theme , i`m also new to window blinds skinning ( first theme published second awaiting moderation ) great start . Please Continue your artwork!
Im still something between visitor and citizien. If i ever can vote your artwork up i' ll give you ten stars. Because its a real real good blind. And i sya that even if i hate normally dark themes so it seems to be really good.

Hi, I havan't tested my skin with windows 8.
Soldier9599, you can use my chrome theme to make chrome match the skins, and stylish extension to make your favorite websites match.
I have made a new version of the skin, with some stripes to match with the steam website:
