Why would I pick this over default aero?........just asking hoping that you can sell me on this. I just don't see why this would be better Well Tim, you shouldnt. If this not your cup of tea you should just pass it by. One thing that I will never do is try and sell anybody on any of my blinds. The reason I make Aero is that thats my preference and I think that it adds a lot to skinning that we are free to incorporate our preferences into our creations. but my next work is going to be a lot less Aero, maybe that one will be more to your liking... nice wb butch,,you can finish one of my windowblinds off if you want i have too meny unfinished wbs and no time to do them all,,,

Nice job, Butch... a nice clean blind as always. And the reason I'd use this above default Aero is the fully clear start menu, the fact that it's tinted. The black and white start menu of default Aero was a novelty and welcomed when one was stuck with the default Luna of XP, but I soon got over that and much prefer the look of this... so thanks, Butch, for sharing it here. Moreover, this blind is easy on the eye, goes with just about any background and is perfect for every day use. About the only thing I'd like to see different, perhaps, is the start button, to something less Windowish, but that is neither here nor there and does not detract from its usability.

Not bad for an Aero skin.
Couple of things...the start menu does not handle textures and the skin does not recolor.

Nice work Butch. Every skin isn't for everyone, but if you enjoyed making it than that is what really counts.
