This is really a great looking skin & I want to use it except I have no text on the task bar "Links" toolbar. I tried to fix with SkinStudio but am a basic editing idiot. Any chance that you can fix it or would it be something wrong with my config?

WhyZeeGuy - If you're referring to the text over the Links Toolbar in Internet Explorer, they appear as a dark blue over the light blue background (then white buttons on mouseover) for me. It could be your config but I'm far from an expert on WindowBlinds 
Another reason to use Firefox though

chris hermitte - the current file has the wallpaper inside (Alloy_Wall.bmp which should auto-load and alloy-wallpaper.jpg just in case )
GordonNL - You can use SkinStudio to change the Impact font to something more readable if you like. You'll have to change the 01 and 02 preset fonts and the Titlebar font.
