froboy I was wondering if you can make the Shellstyles appear in different color depending on the folder ie. My Documents, My Music, My Computer....etc. I saw this in Longhorn and I was wondering if the new build of Windowblind 4.4 are capable of this.

This is okay, but it does have it's bugs (guessing that's from the direct port). It still needs some tweaking, but I'm still impressed with the idea that I can import things like these now.

Also, ExodusCrow, if you go onto Aero-Soft (link on the main page) and check out their forums, they have a shell32.dll tweak to add the shutdown dilogs that go with this. I know it's not as good as something imbedded into the skin, but it's an idea.

frogboy maybe you could get with Septimus on the updates, he's already done most the tweaks but doesnt have permission yet.

I ported the skin and it does need smoe tweaking. One thing i found that helps the theme looks better is the font that comes with. if you downlod this skin from, the sip folder has a special true type font that goes with this. just install it and port the skin in the zip file and you have the complete theme. Yz toolbar program is kinda hard to fine but it also helps give the longhorn aero look as it allows 34,64,ect, pixel size icons on toolbar. The skin does need some tweakin but is very minor. The maximize, minimize buttons alignment are off allite, when the skin is ported using skinstudio.Just move the and it back to the original normal look. Beside all that i like it. if only there was a manual for skin studio.

I'd happily send Frogboy my port of the skin. No point going for seperate permission. We are both busy and it could save a lot of time for us.

I'm wondering if its worth asking DZ to port his YzToolbar. I know it would need some modification but it's one of the best.

Thank you for making a UIS1 Plus skin - there aren't many and I prefer to use them for better performance.

great job on the cleanup, and thanks to anyone who helped (Septimus?)

one other thing, easy fix. Mouse over/focus color (not activiated) on the taskbar is white, and on a white button you cant read it. Ice Blue looks nice

first: Very Cool Skin!

Second: I don't really know if someone else has that problem or if I'm the only one but it only occurs with this skin when the taskpanel is switched on.
I've got a folder with loads of PNG files, whenever I open it and click an image the virtual and physical memory usage goes over the top, and the virtual stays loaded till shutdown.
Just curious if anyone else experienced this?

Cool Skin!

Any chance you could sort out the title bar buttons? The activation areas don't match the graphics (which I think is a legacy of StefanKa's original code).

Plus could this be a UIS2 skin? I can't add actions to the title bars (like send to bottom of Z-order ).

Have to revoke things I said before.
The problem I have with memory happens always with that folder, no matter which skin I use and only if I have switched to folder detail view.
Thus it's not the skin but something with my windows installation, sorry for my error

I have WB 4.4 and I can't get the shellstyles to show up. I kept explorer open once while switching to see what happens. It leaves the remnants of the last skin's shellstyle. Once I click to switch folders, the shellstyle is gone completely.
Strange how it works for some, and not others.

I love this skin! But I can't run it. Periodically the titlebars would go black, the context menus would disappear, and rebooting is the only way to resolve. Can't keep doing that. Has anyone else run into this problem? I am running WB 4.4. Let me know if you need my system specs. I am hoping this bug will get fixed so I can use your awesome skin.
