A lot of the download and preview links are wrong again [broken images and links]....leading to stardock.com instead of wincustomize.com....

well, that certainly uses elements of the Bluecurve design Garret LeSage did for Red Hat. was released under GPL, which means that derivative work has to be released under the same license.

Very original. I really like this a lot, but you are right -- it makes a lot of programs go crazy or apply standard windows borders. Good luck on the revision,
