Again, thank you all for your comments, whatever they are. Thats the great thing about this country...freedom of speech. But I have to admit, I had no idea that posting a skin showing my pride in my country and wanting to share it with others would cause such a commotion. Im only a newbie at skinning , so I know the skin is not perfect, but I felt compelled to make it for myself and my fellow countrymen. Thank you all who have supported me.

Friend Crissy, I do have one small semantical comment. I believe you meant to write something along the lines of... "In honor of those who suffered in the September 11th attack." I pretty sure you did not mean that you wished to honor the attack itself.

My bad. Of course I did not mean in honor of the attack itself. The intention of this skin is to honor all those who have suffered and our great country itself. I stand corrected on my wording. Thanks for pointing it out.

I won't bother commenting on the 'Political' stuff just the skin.
No offense but it is a little dirty.
The all programs menu selection mouse over,pull down menu item mouse over turns blue and the font is black and the white line runs right through the middle...It's really not very legible...Same for the 'Tab' buttons. Maybe change it to white? The start panel backgroung selection would look better squared off...It's way too jagged on the corners.
If it wasn't causing such a controversy this skin would be rated much lower...Users are rating high because of the 'Emotional' strings it's pulling...not the 'Quality' of the work;)

On those the mouseover color is blue and the font color changes to black...Would probably be a lot easier to read if the Mouse Over font color was white.

I am an American right down to the bone and I dearly love my country. Those of you who believe that we Americans should "move on" and forget this horrific tragedy of 9-11-2001, must be people with no heart. I too will tout the fact that America is the greatest country on this planet. Thank you Crissy, and thanks to all of you who stand up for America.

About the skin. I think I agree with XX on that. I have a bit of a problem with the fonts in the menu when you click a grouped task on the task bar. Other than that it is a cool skin. Keep up the good work. 
About the "controversy". Crissy, just make what you want. I am Dutch, but I was shocked by the 9/11 events too. I have friends in a lot of different countries including the US. I believe that the internet is a great place to learn about and understand different countries and cultures. The fun part of becoming friends with people of other countries and cultures is that they will try to understand different viewpoints. That's something I miss when I read these comments.

woundedeagle, how ignorant are you? 'united we stand' has been a patriotic saying in the us for generations. crissy's skin is not political in any sense of the word. speaking of word, the correct word is 'ridiculous'. anyway, crissy has done nothing nor said anything concerning this skin that can be remotely considered as political. she's proud to be an american. so am i. so are 200 million other folks. i fail to understand why if an american has pride in being an american, it's wrong. i assume it's fine if your french, german, irish, canadian, or chinese and proud of it, though. nobody has tried to force this skin down anyone's throat. if you don't like it, move on! i could completely understand how a person could be upset if a skin was made to ridicule or degrade a particular race, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation but this skin does neither of those.

WOUNDEDEAGLE You obviously have no clue of what art inspired by an event [good or bad] is. As you have no idea what the words 'Unided We Stand' [which have been the emblem of the USA for hundreds of years. But yet you are here trying to turn a simple skin design into a political debate.

'United We Stand' is a saying that has been around before the events of September 11th. Chrissy just payed respect for it, the theme of this skin is 'America', and not anything that is meant to bash another group of people in any political way.
One thing WoundedEagle brought up was that the whole world is America. You are just associating America with Westernization. And if what the world becomes is America, that is because eastern/middle-eastern countries choose to.
I bet you would have no problem if it was Germany, for example, that was the influence rather than America.
This leads me to my next message.
I bet you anything, that if someone made a 'Poland' skin, or perhaps a 'Canada' skin, you would have no problem. Think about what I am saying here. The message is pretty clear.
