Its too big for me, the globe. Maybe if the edges where a little blurred out. Everything look like it is in one plain. It doesn't have to have a forground or background but I think for something this big and detailed should be on plain of its own. I think adding the blur around the edges would give it depth and make it more desktop friendly.
I will stil download this, mostly because as is, it would work very well with andi18 silver colored or black colored icons.

This is an excellent piece of art. It is simple and attractive. Personaly I reckon this is the best globe theme, not just the shades but the whole thing in all.
Maybe add some shades to the rims of the globe for greater effect. It would have a stronger colour, which would make it more eye catching.
