Thanks to all.. 
I was just playing around in photoshop using styles and textures and this just happen to come up and I thought it looked pretty neat. I like the tweed look ( I misspelled the word in the title ), at least it is a little different. Thanks again.... 
I get most of my ideas from all of the screenshots here also, so you guys keep up the good work so I can continue to learn from you.....Thanks

What we do is "simple" SS compared to what you do - in my opinion
I think it's you who is the artist of what you are doing and it's a great work you put together and I can not see the inspiration in the SS in here, but maybe I need

Thanks for the nice words Smokey41, but most of what I have learned to do is by trial and error and in getting ideas from all the screenshots I see daily. I would never be able to make a good desktop without the other people in here to give us ideas. I personally have had trouble getting away from the outer frame because I use it to house my icons, rainlender, meters, etc. I like the window look with the wallpaper behind. That way, I can highlight the wallpaper most of the time. Really appreciate what you said, and hopefully I will be able to pass on some ideas to others...

OK, I know this is a bit older shot, but it's the one I saw last--one final cheer from me. The use of texture here is very effective. Have you considered using the canvas look in the WP along with the metal look in one of your other shots? Or even a wood grain...well, NM, you seem to have plenty of ideas already!
