i like the background designs lots, its hard to identify though, i don't like to read initials or memorize colors though. excellent job on the backgrounds & gloss.
ps. just curious is this how adobe is doing the CS3 w/ initials?

Yes, initials it is. I have Photoshop CS3 and Bridge Beta and new icons look like the ones without glossy efects. So I was just making my guess how the rest of the suite will look like.

I believe the whole idea is that they are like the Periodic Table of Elements.
In any case, a whole Adobe suite of icons would be great. There are two few here for consistency.
