Can we get something a little more Jew friendly
Comment #4 Wednesday, May 12, 2004 10:17 AM
Jesus was a Jew & he was very friendsly . I will look through the old Testament for something more "Jewish" as you request. Might take me a while though, but I will try ok?

I cann't stand looking at another snake, demon, ugly people, skelitens, outer space stuff, etc.
This is a continuation of my previous message as I pressed Enter instead of an apostrophy.
But maybe you have some suggestions on installing it. It goes through winzip alright but when it is on Logon screen, that message pops up.

I don't know what happened to the first part of my message but when I download it the message from Logon Studio reads cannot read file error of some sort. A black space runs through it so I cannot read it properly.
Please do more religious Boot skins as well as Logons, they are very needed. Some of the scenes from the Passion of the Christ are awsome, would you be allowed to use some of those as a reference? I know as an artist myself you cannot copy them but just an idea.
Great ideas and terrific and moving presentation.

Thank you for your encouragement. I just uploaded a newer version of the log on. I had renamed the preview, so it is fixed now, I tested it out:)

As for the Passion, a friend of mine tried to ask permission to use their work and she never heard from them. I have other artwork I will upload and edit and time. Thanks again!!

This is wonderful - its so nice to finally see something that reflects on the Christian faith on here. Maybe something with the last supper, or Jesus riding into town on the donkey and everyone placing leaves down for him... I don't know but I love seeing things on here that really bring glory to him. So thank you for that.

Hello manphenin,
If you hate Jesus so much, wouldn't it bring you joy to see an image of the crucifixion?? If they approved this image for this site then your problem is not with me or Jesus, the problem is with yourself. Thank you for taking the time to look though!!!

Yep, Jesus was a jew and very friendly. In fact, he loved us so much that he gave his life for us. Now, that is the supreme sacrifice. This is a beautiful piece, but oh so sad. I guess one can call me a Christian Jew. I'm Christian and I love jewish people, especially Jesus.

P.S.- I missed these beautiful pieces. I'm downloading everyone of them. Thanks for sharing.

Such beautiful and haunting artwork, Conall has surely been blessed with the gift of art.
Though I personally prefer to dwell on rewards that sacrifice gave us,and remember the resurrection and the empty tomb, and all that it signifies.
Any chance we'll see an empty tomb themed logon? would love to have that for an easter morning logon.

I hope so wulfn1, if I am given permission to use some of his other work, hopefully this will be something else he will work on. This also was uploaded durring lent though when Catholics (& some protestants too) remember the sacrafice Jesus made for us. I will see what I can do, I may have a different image to use for the resurection if I can find out more information about the artist Thank you for your comments!!!

I hope you don't mind but on my computer I changed the Notice Message to "After you log on you can stop and pray\nand reflect on the love Jesus has for you". See Bold,Italics and Underlined text. Note that I put "\n" in, this causes a line break, and I also added the word "has" as I think you meant for it to be there but just mistyped.

Very powerful painting showing how much love Christ has for everyone that He was willing to extend his arms out and be led to death for us.    I never believed in Him until 1981-- when i was sincerely searching for some answers, and He met me half way.    After that I didnt let Him pass me by and ran after Him.   When I catch up to Him one day will be the day I die-  and I expect that when I meet up with Him, I will fall at His feet

There are so many awesome classic paintings of Jesus, and alot of beautiful modern ones also.    For the Jewish folks, there are also beautiful Jewish Old Testament themes.  One that I like alot is one I saw of Daniel in the Lion's Den..  The Masters of long ago really did justice to these scenes.
