~ Pretty cool idea. The functionality at your fingertips is definitely a plus. I'm constantly changing skins for whatever reason and this does it without opening WB or the display properties. Since it's semitransparent there's never any worry about it not matching whatever skin is running also.

~ Very excellent work. Looking forward to updates.

thanks Nomad - that's exactly the reason why I choose the glass look for it, although I admit I borrowed the buttons from GT3

A perfect app. But I have a small problem with it. It runs, but it doesn't change the skin. Instead I get a rtl60.bpl not found error. Where is the problem? Thanx.

I probably got it. It is because I do not have SkinStudio installed and therefore this wbremote thingy. Am I right? Do I have to install the SkinStudio or is there a way round?

I don't think that is it. I have SkinStudio installed and am not getting a preview image and although it does list all of the blinds that I have installed, it doesn't let me change them.

I was right about the great idea. but it doesn't work on my computer either. No preview, no ability to apply or edit skins, no subskins.

Finally! I have been waiting for someone to come up with a way to randomize skin, preferably at specified intervals. I wish someone could come up with that idea for themes too. I have so many I like and have customized for myself, I would like to be able to randomize them as well. This looks very promising and quite impressive. Grats!!!
Erk.

LIMOS and anyone else getting the "rtl60.bpl not found" error - you need to download that file from http://fromelard.free.fr/Scripts/VCL_liste/rtl60.bpl and place it in your Windows\system32 folder. It is part of the Borland runtime which is normally installed by skinstudio.
Apologies to any for whom the widget doesn't work as it should for other reasons. If it's possible I wonder if anyone could do me a favour as I can't diagnose the problem without some more information... If you could, import the widget into dx and run it from there and see if you get any error messages or whatnot. It appears as tho the widget is finding your windowblinds install directory ok, and the skin sub folders, but then is falling down on reading or even finding the skin files. If anyone is feeling especially helpful they could email me and I could maybe send them some kind of debugging special edition of the widget to try and track down the problem, or maybe even initiate an IM problem solving session.
Also OS, WindlowBlinds and DX version information might be useful to know.
I appreciate the feedback so far and it would be great to get this working for everyone (needless to say it works without a hitch on my system). Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help further

OK, I took the aforementioned dog out for a walk, which must have got my brain going or something...

All the people for whom the preview isnt showing...do you have windows explorer set to hide file extensions for known file types? I just changed my settings to that as a test and sure enough the substyles didnt show up and the preview didnt show. Anyway, if that's the reason, it should be a simple enough fix once I get my head round it. Hope to get this updated within a few hours...let me put the kettle on first...

OK, updated the widget. Hope it solves the problem of the substyles and preview not being shown. Let me know either way

Tried it before and after the update and I have the same problem. I don`t get a preview image and it won`t let me apply my wb skins but it does list the skins I have installed. Anyway where do I see if I have explorer set to hide file extensions for known file types?. My OS is Windows XP Home Edition Verson 2002 Service Pack 2. WindowBlinds Version 4.40.038 and DesktopX version 2.230.032. Looks great hope you can help Me get it to work. TTFN.
