Very fresh and totally different. Like you say, seeing the same mechanized desktops with correded pipes gets a little old...and I am a guy!! 
Wouldn't use it myself, but thought I'd note I appreciate your urge to differentiate from the masses...

I think this is amazing!!! I love the clear, embossed titles instead of buttons, and I think the woman is absolutely beautiful. I look for themes like this constantly, and this is one of the few I've found. It is now my favorite. Thank you!!!
