Speaking of which, I'm making a new layout. Think Stardock will mind if I 'borrow' the Wincustomize design?

Who cares!! According to Gloss all you need to do is put some text on there that says 'under construction' and you're covered!!
Problem solved, and you're right, it'll save you oodles of time!Reply #25 Thursday, February 9, 2006 6:45 PM
| I've gave them credit, enyway I leaving this communitysite for another... |
Credit is not sufficient.
Violating the copyright of 'fellow' skinning community members will see you ostracized from that community.
It's also salient to note that most skinners are members of ALL the alternate skinning websites so your reputation for 'taking without consent' will precede you.
I'd STRONGLY suggest a rethink of your procedure.

Probably wasn't a good idea for him to put up all his aliases on the front either.
I don't think his host could care less. Usually for a small site with a beginner at the controls, nobody expects much.

"studiofiftytwo" was the 5th or 6th I came upp whit and before I came up with that I didn't know what "studiotwentyeight" even was (it's many mounth ago I planed a website and that domain)
and conviniantly I realy like his work.
Every skinning website whit respect for it self should have his work.
I gave him gredit thoght,
there is manny site out there having my work without permision and I just see that as an honor.
The download does point to his DA gallery.
The layout was only teperary and never ment to last and now it's gone.
You even have a link to his site so I'm not taken away his credit at all.
I have seen people copying him more than I have,
so there's a blogjob for you.
The reason I'm leaving this site is mostly because I have changed to a mac and that I'm finding to many errors on this site.

And ain't every art made up on building on others work?
In a two years time I may have changed my domain anyway.
Am I forgiven...?

I like Kol's work too, but I also respect him, and the other skinners and artists enough not to take their work.
Two years is a long time. I've had my site for 3, and while it's not always easy to come up with original material, it's much more gratifying.

Gee, any bets on how soon he finds out that the skinning community isn't big enough to hide from those who's work he's decided to pilfer.. Bah, who cares.. We helped him, he decided to show his true colors and I'm sure we'll run across him at DA or some other skinning site. We must be sure to say Hi! Afterall, we know where his site is and we know who he's ripping off, he has given credit after all..
