Bootskin problems

i cant get my skin to work...

can someone please fix it and explain what they did for me?

First of all Bootskin size for the first bmp is 640 x 480 16 colour 4-bit,and the progress bar has to have the same colour palette as the background, again saved as 16 colour 4-bit. I hope this helps.

oops, howd that get to that size? and is it ONLY 16 color 4-bit?

is there a program that will let me keep it as a full color BMP while still veing able to use it in bootscreen? without color loss?

i found a Homestar based image that works well in 4 bit 16 colour i'll add it in a bit when i find a better spot for the progress bar

its pretty bright though
