Bootscreen suddenly bigger!! Please help...

Thursday, January 5, 2006 by Red Glasses | Discussion: Windows XP

Hi all,
I have a Dell Inspiron 8200, WinXp and a 1600x1200 screen resolution.
At the beginning, the Windows bootscreen was small and tack-sharp..
Now (and I DO NOT know what I have done) the screen is bigger (bigger text) and it's all "jagged", not sharp...
Can someone please explain to me how I can take it back to it's original size?
Thank you very much!

are you using regular Windows XP Boot skin or have you applied a screen from Bootskin?
bootskin never worked on my computer in fact it only trashed it. i went into safe mode and uninstalled it.
if there is a problem with your regular WinXP bootscreen then i don't know... never heard of anything like that.

Sounds like your screen initally didn't strech the picture if it was smaller than the native resolution, but now it does. Should be a settings for you monitor.
