Advanced DxPerf2 settiing

Here a question for an advanced user, I need some help here. I am making an addon to the LCARS Evol 2 DX theme. I am trying to set up a TCP display using the DXPerf2 performance meter and the Bishop animation (a 10 step image of a meter line with a red moving triangle horizotally). Like Star Trek medical if you ever watched the show. My problem is the meter responds slowly, even misses TCP access on occassion. I have tried changing the image to 20 sreps, still looks jerky. The DxPerf2 meter is set to 1000ms update, I believe this is the problem, but if I set it to a lower setting, say 100ms, my CPU usages jumps to 25% sometimes 40%, this is very unacceptable. I am using the TCP segment sent/rec setting. My questions are is there another setting I can use that will update more often, how do I smoothout the display. Thanks for any help.
