Changing OD Default Calendar's Link & Title

When I add the default calendar packaged with OD to my dock, I can right-click the calendar and choose Customize. From there I am afforded three options. I can change the Calendar's title, the link, and any arguments to the link. However, any changes to these values do not stick.

Is there some way to make these values save? As soon as I close the Customize window, the changes are gone because they are never applied.

I don't need extra functionality (appointments, date-time display, etc), I just want a calendar icon with the date customized so that when I click it, it opens Sunbird or Outlook's calendar.

Also... the Browse and Date Format buttons do not work. Thanks, I'm working on figuring it out if no one knows. I changed the title by modifying the dll, but that's all, can't link it.

Go here: https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=29 and enter something like 'calendar docklet' or just 'calendar' and you might find a few alternatives to the default possibly with all the features that you're after. The ones by AndreasV are typically high quality.

Thanks but I've already done that and tried everything I could. It is all based off a new version which allows for appointments... All of which seem to have overridden the ability of the original to be used as a normal icon to link to a program.

Does anyone's default calendar work (can you set the title and link)? Maybe mine is somehow defective...

mine does not! and I tried all the docklets on this site and none do as good a job as Rainy's Rainlender if you are an outlook user. So I suppose you can just find a nice png and just make a shortcut docklet to Outlook, then set outlook to display the calender on open? I think that's what I might do, as I don't want to run Rainlender anymore. good luck!

btw, it seems that those options are not programmed into the default docket...maybe it was a "coming soon" kinda thing...

FWIW, I use a SysStats calendar docklet (which updates the dick image as required) but which also lets you link to another program when clicked (I link to Outlook as per the suggestion above).
