Thursday, December 29, 2005 by christophermodder | Discussion: Object Desktop

hi.. i have this problem.
see i bought a copy of windowsblinds 5, installed it on my desktop and activated it.
then i installed it on my laptop and tried activating it, but it won't activate and keeps giving an error message.
i read that there's an activation limit for windowsblinds.. so u can actually activate it more than once, on at most 2 machinese where u are the main user. Please help :/
i emailed stardock and still havent got an answer since before christmas

You're allowed to install on 2 machines, as long as they both aren't used at the same time. There is an activation limit, but that shouldn't be causing your problem. That only kicks in after several activations.

Is the laptop connected to the internet?

Drop your firewall and it will enable the XP firewall. Retry the activation. Activate.exe only has to go through once. After it activates, re-enable your firewall (XP firewall will disable).

still doesnt work!
maybe it's the fact the other comp is in the same network?
does that affect the activation?
