Rare icon request

Wednesday, December 28, 2005 by Phoenixheart | Discussion: Community

Though I've just submited a few icons to the ObjectDock skin area, I've been a visiter and registered user of WC for a long time. One thing easy to see is, there are too many icons for the "famous" programs, like Photoshop, Winamp, WMP... As I know, a lot of people use many other programs on their PC, and they can't find their OD icons anywhere, as well as they do not know how to create one themselves (as in my case before).
So, why don't we have an "open area" for those OD users to request for their favorite programs' icons? And those who can use graphical apps can create them. It's also a chance to improve your skills isn't it ?
I'll be the first... Any one need an icon? You can send me a screenshot of the origin icon, and I'll try to make it an OD one (128, 256, in PNG or ICO...).
Not so good in graphik, so I need the help from the pro gd!

Should I?
I had to double up on my pain meds...I was waiting to see if the person even liked them or not. I usually don't photoshop this late. lol. I don't have PHOENIXHEART's knack for these.

Definitely
They look great, but you could always eyeball them in the morning in case you want to do any touch-ups

And take care of yourself-- you have some heavy Thumpin' do do next week...

Yes, Po, upload those babies. I'd like to see the RegSupreme on a transparent background.

I am looking for an Icon for the following programs:
SPSS
Novell Network

These are not found in the icons.

I know that these are the most common programs, but hey, I use some odd stuff.

FWIW, I did a novell icon, but I don't like it all that much. I don't have a quick place to host it, so I'll just have to rely on good will here.

Thanks.

Novell Network

SPSS Data Mining

Hope they work for you.

I have uploaded them to WC, so give em some time. Also...Visual Pinball and CD Wave Editor are now in ObjectDock Icons. RegSupreme has just been uploaded (with special request) and hopefully will be approved this time.

Citizen Po' Smedley: Thank you VERY much--those are both gorgeous!

Care to do one for the Query Analyzer (MSSQL)? Don't bother if it's already out there.

I really appreciate your time.

Borchard, it would help if I you posted a screen shot of the default icons. I been flyin' blind with these.

Let me know (ANYONE who knows) if these are what you need for Query Analyzer.

Hello Po. Thank you very much for the OD icons I asked. Sorry that I came back too late, but I didn't knew that you were going to help that fast. Sorry. And thank you very much. I really like them all. Can you submit the CDWave Editor one? Is the only one I still can't download.
About Http File Server, I don't know how to show the icon here. May I give it to you by email? Anyway, this is the site of the program's creator so you can get the icon. http://www.rejetto.com/sw/
Thank you very much.

Here is the original Po, but I do like the ones you've done.

The query analyzer has always been an ugly program in looks, but has some amazing abilities.

sorry that it's so small-I haven't played with this capture utility all that much.

FWIW, you did great with the Novell and the SPSS Icons--those things rock.

Got Your email chermany4ever.

Still can't make it out, Borchard. I ran across the same image while searching and couldn't find one larger than that myself.

This is what the original icon looks like:

If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated!

Borchard - if you have Icondeveloper (or other icon viewer) trying looking in SQL QA's exe or dlls or etc to see if you can pull a better icon/pic

Koasati-- i was on your WC site downloading more icons this weekend-- using several now

I was wondering if you would make one like a fountain pen-- maybe similar to the pen on the CheckListPro icon?
