OD File Structure

I have been trying to get a handle on Docklets in general and SysStats Docklets specifically. I still can't figure out the proper file structure. I know that docklets go in the Docklets folder but do they each need their own sub folder? Various authors sometimes use folder names in their zips and some don't.
If I use SysStats it really gets complicated. Some SysStats docklets have their own *.spl files with the same names as others. Are they different versions of the same things or are they different and specific to each SysStats docklet. How do they stay away from each other?

I will need to research a bit to create a competent tut....
Hopefully, I will post something by New Years, as well as some for working with the ObjectDock program in setting up docks, changing images, options, etc.

Thanks Corky! I looked at the SysStats site but couldn't find any help type stuff at all. Kinda reminded me of another place I have in my URLs

In a nutshell: the typical Sysstats install has the following files in the following folders:
Folder -> File(s)/Comments
ObjectDock ->SysStatsCOM.dll
+Docklets
+SysStats -> SysStats.dll
+Configs -> All config (.ini) files
+Icons -> Custom icons for your config
+Images -> Images for your config
(Good form to make a sub-dir for each docklet)
+Overlays -> Hmmm?
+Plugins -> Here are custom plugins (.spl) that may be needed
for a docklet. You generally want the latest version
available.
+Scripts -> Scripts (.vbs or .js) for your docklet
+System -> Mainly HTML help files.
The only really set-in-stone locations are the "config" and "plugins" folders since the other components of the docklet are configurable in the config/ini file.
In general, all SysStats docklets are zip files containing the directory structure from the SysStats folder & below, but only containing those files that are needed by the new docklet. Sometimes assumptions are made about what is already installed and may need to be hunted down & rectified manually.
Regarding duplicate plugins - you may need to examine the file properties (date/time stamp, filesize) to work out if they are identical or not. For same-size files a binary file compare is sometimes required to spot differences.
