No longer supports Win2K?
Friday, December 23, 2005 by Daiwa | Discussion: ObjectBar
Imagine my surprise when, after reviewing the release notes indicating that Win2k or XP were required & that Win98 & ME were no longer supported (the SDC description pane for OB has been woefully neglected), clicking on the Update button generates a message saying OB requires WinXP or higher.
Shucks, XP is the one OS that strictly speaking doesn't need it. Replicating the XP TaskBar & StartPanel on 2K or prior is the principle use, in my view, though I'm sure there are those who find other features to be key.
Will OB2 support Win2K or is 1.65 the end of the road without XP?
Cheers,
Daiwa

Jeff must have been hired away, leaving the OB shop empty. Or something.

Hmm... I've never really seen OB as a app to mainly replicate the XP bar. I find that OB make much cooler and useful bars than what comes with XP.
However, I wonder if the XP requirement could be realted to the widget integration... Just wildly guessing though...
