Which SkinStudio to use for per-pixel support?

Sunday, December 4, 2005 by SparXCG | Discussion: Customization Software

Hi all,

I'd like to know which version of SkinStudio is needed to make per-pixel alpha blended skins.

Thanks!

Well, I'd always suggest having the latest beta or release, simply because it will be keeping up with the WB5 changes, most likely.

I just updated with the newest beta build and everything is looking fine and functioning like butter.

Can a fully functional skin be made with the downloadable version of SkinStudio? I know it doesn't do Windows Media Player skins but will it create WB5 fully functional skins?

Thanks..

There are still a few features in progress, but all the WB5 skins you can download here were made with the available version of SkinStudio (or with earlier ones).

I don't think the shareware version is crippled in any way other than inability to create WMP skins - you should be able to create full-featured WB5 skins with it (& all the other kinds of skins except WMP).
