Can I Delete Stardock Backup Temp Files?

Thursday, December 1, 2005 by J-Mac | Discussion: Stardock Support General

I'm having some issues with an installer for another application and the direction is to empty my Temp files.

While reviewing the Temp files before deleting, I noticed that there's a Stardock Backup Temp folder there with almost 2 GB of files in it. Is that the archive that SDC creates when installing upgrades? If so, why are they kept in the Windows\Temp folder, where a cleanup could eliminate them?

Or are these unnecessary temp files that I can safely delete?

Thanks!

Your archived versions are kept in program files/stardock central/Backup so it is safe to delete those files unless you previously had directed them to be stored in your temp folder. As long as they are in the Stardock central folder then it is safe.
