How do you learn to script?

Can anyone point me toward scipting. Like tutorials or samples things likes that. I know how to make a message box and a couple other things. I just got the main Object Desktop suite so i would like to learn some scripting. Thanks

w3schools has lots of information on the script languages themselves.
