Unistall Stardock and WindowBlind 5

Sunday, November 27, 2005 by notstrom | Discussion: Stardock Support General

Hi

Today I installed Stardock and WindowBlinds. Every wordk fine - it's really a great thing. But unfortunately there was a bug by starting VB6. Klick the NEW PROJECT-Button there was only a filebox to open a file. The same happend by a NEW FORM, a NEW MODUL and so on. As I have to start some new projects this week, I have to uninstall all the Stardock and WindowBlinds.

How can I do this?
How can I uninstall Stardock and Windowblinds as a whole?

many thanks for your help

you don't need to uninstall WB...... just exclude your VB program from being skinned. You can do this by opening the WB configuration window and clicking on "Per Application". Click the button marked "Add per application setting" and browse to your VB6 program and add the .exe to the list of excluded programs. This may solve your problem and save you having to unload the program.

Try BoXXi's solution first, and if that doesn't work, tell what you mean by installing, and uninstalling Stardock. Stardock is the company that makes WIndowBlinds, and many other apps, but it's not a program...... you can't "install Stardock". We'll need to know what you've actually installed to help.

I'm betting BoXXi's tip will fix your problem.....

Sorry about the off off off topic here, I'm new in this board and would like to know how to include an image/avatar like the ones you BoXXi and Koasati have in teh post header. Do I use that "Image" button for it or is it a configuration?

Hi

Many thanks for your advices. I found the "bad" element. By installing "enhanced Dialog" there is an error using Microsoft VB6 Studio. You are not able to get a new project, form or modul in VB6. After I uninstalled this item everything works fine.
By the way I found the uninstall buttom too. It's on the Stardock-Central form.

with kind regards
