Before Updating WB5 or Iconpackager (False Alarm)

Thursday, November 24, 2005 by WebGizmos | Discussion: Life, the Universe and Everything

I have no idea if it was the latest WB5 or Iconpackager. I just now updated them after SDC updated to its lastest version, and after rebooting my PC completely froze. I had to go into safe mode and restore them to the previous versions and everything is back to normal now. So it was one or the other or both.

Sorry I can't give you any more info than that, because I couldn't do a thing with my pc other than restore the previous versions of WB5 & Iconpackager.

Neither. They both work just fine.

Nope, it doesn't seem to be one or the other or both. The latest updates work just fine.

OK...redid the updates again and it seems I must have had a bad install. The first time I chose to update them together at the prompt, and had the problem. Second time did them separately and no problem this time. Go figure!

FYI: The same happened to me. It was the WB5 [RC]. Uninstalling it and reinstalling the beta brought me back to normal. I reinstalled WB5 [RC] and everything worked fine.
Thought you would like to know.
