System Tray

what now?

Sunday, November 20, 2005 by xxMerrxx | Discussion: DesktopX

I'm trying to setup a System Tray in my custom , but the problem is though I can see the system tray and all that I can't actually see what's in my NORMAL system tray

for example

I open MSN Messenger, I log in
I close MSN Messenger ( as in click the X not actually close down )
Normaly It goes down into my system tray and I can see it fine

With the Desktop X running
I check that system tray that I placed there and its blank.
It's always blank.

I figuerd I messed up somewhere.
So I checked some themes that I'm rather fond of, And even their system trays don't work. The task bars work great but none of the system trays work for me.

Can someone gimme a hand?
Please and thanks

I'm rather new to this, so if you can be very detailed.
Thanks

I'm having the same problem. Sadly you figured it out before anyone could post a reply. Little help?

SDC - tools - settings - general - enable MCP notification area support = do you have it checked?
