Just a thought

I have an idea for a skin, basically it would be somethin of a "street" style (I got the idea from my basketball net, which i will show you tomorrow because its dark here )

Either way the basic idea i have is that the skin is black, with red and white highlights. At the far right corner (where the caption buttons are) will be white "Bricks" (See-Through Bricks in WB5) The start button will be sort of a "Ripped" style (sorry i dont know how to explain it), black, with a white shadow (red shadow when pressed) Im not too sure about the caption buttons or anything else, but thats the basic idea...

I suggest you draw it up full size in PSP or Photoshop and than you can cut your parts out of the mock up. You can also use it to decide if it's right FOR YOU. The whole thing is.....to skin for yourself and then share what you want. What other people like only counts if your trying to sell something.

The colors work well together. Word of warning, dark skins are hte hardest to get right. You run into problems with text visibility. The dark gray would work as a border, the white bricks would work on the dark gray like you want. Use that muave/maroon/dark red for mouse overs etc. maybe a light gray for window backgrounds to avoid the visibility problem.

No matter what, do it your way....I'm just offering up ideas.

If you could have the 'buttons' be the white bricks, you might be able to sneak around alot of the problems that darker skins have with black text on dark backgrounds...

I had a darker skin in mind...um i cant skin at all, but i think i can create a roughly drawn taskbar...

The commenter is not an admin and the thread is still locked. A site bug appears to have let him in - the thread has been hidden from public view until the bug is fixed

Im gunna try to make a window from photoshop tonight...i like the idea of using "Brick for buttons"
