HEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!!!

How do you get "glow buttons" to work.

Thursday, November 10, 2005 by scorpio-logic | Discussion: SkinStudio

I'm making a skin for my mother, WB5, and the main reason she wants WB is for the glow buttons. I wanted to apply this feature to titlebar buttons, taskbar buttons, MDI buttons and Start menu...maybe everywhere I can if I can get a grasp of method. Anyone have instructions, or is SkinStudio not ready for it without doing it in Notepad? If it's a Notepad thing, I have no idea of how to code...HELLLP!

Thanks in advance for any and all replies! Happy skinning!

Catchy thread title...

I'm no expert on this (cause I'm no fan of the glow feature), but I think the 'glow' feature is only available for titlebar buttons. You use the titlebar buttons, Overlay image attributes. Take a look at Tronnix for a good example.

Thanks for the input. Have you checked out the "Quantria" skin by Hus? Somehow looks like he's got glow feature on the taskbar buttons as well as titlebar and start menu. Checking out tronnix...
