Not all icons change ??
Monday, October 31, 2005 by pomak | Discussion: IconPackager
I've browsed the forum and theres so many items similar to this that I decided to do my own post.
I run XP Pro SP2 and WB 4.6 and IP 3.00a (full version)my problem is that whilst most of Icons change on applying a package some do not - noticably MS Office components (Word/excel etc) for Office2000, WMP etc,etc.
I have d/l HAZARDS icon package which appears to contain these icons (I d/l his bonus icons too but cannot get these to load into IP - any ideas?) and all my boxes are ticked so to speak !!
I also note I cannot right click an office icon and 'change icon' as this is greyed out ??
Any advice gratefully recieved - newbie to all this,
Mick

Its all of them - main problems are Office icons ? I assume they should change on my desktop when new skins are applied ? I've tried the default packages same too !
All other icons change - folders/recycle bin ....

Try this:
Restore Icons in IconPackager- Open up IconPackager
- Click Tools->Rebuild Icon Cache
- Click Tools->Repair Icon Images
- Click "Yes" on the messagebox that comes up
If that doesn't resolve your issue, try this:
Change an icon image- Right click an icon whose image you'd like to change
- Select Properties
- Click the "Icon" tab
- Click the "Change Icon" button
- Select an icon from the list available
- If none are available or you would like to use a different set of icons, click browse
- Copy "C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\IconPackager\Themes", paste under "File name" and press enter
- You should have a list of icon package folders here. Open the folder for the icon package you would like to use and open the package
Let me know if you're still having problems.

Hi Mick,
Have you experienced this issue with any other icon themes? If you unload and then reapply the icon package, is it the same icons that are not being applied?
