New Subscriber Intros
Let us know who you are.

How about a Sticky for new SUBSCRIBERS to intro themselves. You see this on a lot of the sites out there. Something to give people a way to kinda ease into the community without having to worry about stepping on toes or feel like they're intruding into threads, etc.
That kind of post might be able to catch up to Xaltec's "Word Association" fairly quickly.
So for you noob SUBSCRIBERs post a little something about yourself. You know....real name, bank account & credit card numbers, SSN, home address, etc. (just kidding)

My name is Lotta and I am from Sweden. I have been a member both to OD and a WC-subscriver for 2-3 years and I love it!!!
I can't do skins and such things, yet anyway. I try sometimes but when I look at all your great work I just download and enjoy!
But I'll keep trying and here and there I pick up some good ideas. I must say you all skinners are so kind and helpfull, when I read this forum I often find some good thing, and then I try again! It's the best spending money I ever done when I get a member here!

Where to start?
JoneP welcome to WC. There's a lot help to be had with photoshop around here. Post you questions in the Personal Computing Section. The pros here will be glad to help. I use Paint SHop Pro so I can only recommend tutorials.
SIXX21 we're glad your here. Since your married I offer my pat responses to my wife "at least I'm not visiting porn sites" & "no I don't love my computer more than you, but I haven't programmed IT to nag me"

M1STER8 welcome to you and your students also. My wife's a high school math teacher, currently on sabatical to home school our son. I have nothing but respect for teachers. If people were actually paid based on their value to society you'd be among the wealthist on the planet.
Hi again Great Sphynx, thanks for introducing yourself here. I'm glad your enjoying the community. We're happy to have you.
Hello cammils, glad you've joined us. Thanks for the sunshine. You seem to radiate it. On behalf of those who actually did the work your very welcome.
Thanks for introducing yourself Lotta. We're glad your a member here too. You've been here long enough to know all you need do is ask for what you need.
I feel like I've been glode trotting.....from London to the US, to Rio De Janeiro, to the Phillipines and back around to Sweden. What a community!

Thanks for your answer! And, most off all :
sorry, to all members for my "extreme english"...
Two ideas :
Internet and web developing are getting real big in Brazil!
The mark of the brazilian art, gets toghether the "free" natural resources that we have here (for creating all kind of boring beach stuff), with a really strong creative source, updated tech and a very particular and most of the time, live collored inteface!
Well....
Better viewed than explained...
If someone gets interested....
I found very cool stuff from a bunch a crazy media guys, from Rio, called "conspiracy"
They started as a small agence and nowadays are doing movies! they earned all the prizes in the world, but remained cool and crazy!
FOR M1STER B:
I LOVE your country and your artists... have you ever thought in doing anything in "MIRÓ" STILE?
I think you could apply the stile in a "all Spain" theme or whatever you decide!
I'll be the first to download!

...Hi, I'm Marc. I am a week new to WC. I have a certain determination to become the #1 ranked commentor and forum/article poster. So watch out, herre I come.
I am also an avid OC fan. I had burned, fried, and otherwise mutilated several low-dollar CPUs in order to better understand how much voltage you don't need to add to your mobo to get it to go faster (EVER faster!!).
I am also an avid tweaker. Not to say that I use illegal substances to get FASTER, but to say that I tweak my systems to my utmost to get the most efficient box possible for my uses.
I am also ready to learn how to code and skin. I read alot, philosophize while retaining spirituality and love nature.
I talk alot, cuz I drink a lot of coffee and smoke cigerettes with fervor.
I speak 2 languages and read 5.
I have been to 6 countries, lived in 3.
I love dogs, cats and squirrels (cuz my dogs love squirrels).
I dropped out of high school, type 120 wpm, read 3100 wpm and have a personal library of over 2000 books.
I drink Coca-Cola when I am not drinking HIGH-OCTANE columbian coffee.
I like cake, love cookies.
I am a happy skinner.
Hope you are too!!Reply #35 Sunday, November 6, 2005 10:11 PM
