New Subscriber Intros

Let us know who you are.

Wednesday, October 19, 2005 by Lantec | Discussion: New Users

Just an idea to throw out there....what with the subscription drive going on.
How about a Sticky for new SUBSCRIBERS to intro themselves. You see this on a lot of the sites out there. Something to give people a way to kinda ease into the community without having to worry about stepping on toes or feel like they're intruding into threads, etc.

That kind of post might be able to catch up to Xaltec's "Word Association" fairly quickly.

So for you noob SUBSCRIBERs post a little something about yourself. You know....real name, bank account & credit card numbers, SSN, home address, etc. (just kidding)

I didn't realize that this thread existed. I've been addicted to WC for so long now, that I am considered a "junkie". I'm 50 and live 3 miles east of the Daytona Beach speedway. I've been into Web design and programming for a living around 22 years now. I've given it all up to skin for free, the sign of a true WC junkie.

Keep an eye out, you're liable to find me lurking in any corner here in WC land.

We're damn near neighbors. I live in NW DeLand and have my office downtown.

I live in Tasmania....a state of less than 0.5 million.

Still, tried crossing a downtown street earlier....after 5 mins, felt like 95% of Tassie's populaion were motorist on it.

Not so new....really.

I cant for the life of me remember the email address I once used. People used to (and actually still do) call me Twink.

Still livin in TN. Still into sci-fi, and my most recent news is that after the 3rd movie, my semi-addiction to X-Men has blown up full force. (and my username should tell who my fav character is, tho it prolly isnt surprising to most mutant lovers)

Almost have my computer to the exact way I want it to look (doesnt as well as I want yet, but I'm working on amping up the RAM and HD), just shy of customizing bootscreens. I'm scared to death they wont work, and I'll be stuck w/ a completely useless PC.

And the computer I have didnt come w/ a reformatting disc for XP.

Any suggestions?
