I can't get mail notifier to work with Gmail

Monday, October 17, 2005 by Stupendous Man | Discussion: Personal Computing

I finally got a gmail account, but neither the mail widgets nor sysmetrix seem to be working. I'm pretty sure I have them configured correctly, but Sysmetrix, for example, will totally close my dial up connection when I try to check my gmail account.

I have a gmail account, Sysmetrix, Incredimail, DesktopX, and AVG Antivirus. So if there's anyone who has a similar setup that works, please tell me how you did it. Thanks in Advance.

I check mine via Incredimail advanced - dialup, don't need/want auto checking cuz it slows me down

I had the same problems that you are having so I had to use the Gmail Notifier.

"Why God, why?"

why not? I like the stationary, it's easy to create my own. I like the animations, it's easy to add my own.

I lke the advanced mail option where I can delete at the server and only pull in what I want.

I have gotten no spy or adware from it.
