Windows desktop stays when applying new themes

Thursday, October 13, 2005 by Symmet | Discussion: DesktopX

With some themes on DesktopX, it doesn't make my current desktop disappear. All of my desktop icons stay where they are and my old taskbar still sits at the bottom. What could be the problem?

That is a setting specific to each theme and can only be changed if you have the full version of DesktopX.

Right-click on your DesktopX icon in the system tray, and Switch to the DesktopX-Builder. Then right-click again and choose "Configure DesktopX...", in the Menu that will pop up choose the 'Desktop'-tab, and tick "Hide desktop" and "Hide Windows Taskbar" and hit "OK".

Actually, you only need to hit the "Hide Desktop Icons" checkbox, unless of course you want to turn off the taskbar too.
