every man and his dog should have a gmail account by now but i still have 100 invites so if you want one just email me at solidnuts at gmail.com

yea it still is , im switching to it as my main email now. because they have these nice features like Google Talk,Gmail Notifier, Google Desktop.

My DSL comes with 8 100 MB accounts- way more than I can use. In fact, I gave a couple of addresses to a friend & still have more than I can use. Thanks tho 
I have a question about the Google tools. Have thought about trying one or 2 of them, but I wonder about how much tracking & data accumulation is going on. When Google announced gmail there was a flurry about their plan to scan mail to target advertising. I didn't stay current on the discussion, assuming if I ever wanted to use it, I could find out.
Do you worry about a dark side to Google toys?

The web browser gmail service scans your emails and uses key words from them in advertisements from Google Ads (those word-only ads that you see every so often). That's the only scanning that Google does.

if you use firefox, there's a google plug-in you can get to make all the ads go away for all google things it's nice
