ODZip.dll Problem

Friday, October 7, 2005 by _02 | Discussion: IconPackager

I tried to download a new IP theme today and I got an error that said "failed to load ODZip.dll. Please reinstall the application to correct the problem." I tried 2 different themes. No good. So, I set my icons back to default. I uninstalled my version 3 and installed the newest version of IP through SC. Same problem. Is this a problem associated with the new version of WB which I just successfully installed today, or do I need to use the ODzapper? I am able to load and use themes I already have. I am stumped. Could someone help me? Thanks

Well, I fixed it myself!! I updated to the latest SC version, went back to default icons again, uninstalled IP and then I updated IP to the latest version. I did not reboot. I had rebooted the last time. Don't know which made the difference, but I can get and use new icons now!! Smile!

Hey, Hey, I finally fixed my problem while had another problem concerning the desktopx with the same odz.dll problem. It was said to redownload stardock central and try again, so I did and it fixed the problem. Now I am very satisfied with the results. Realizing that somehow the odz.dll file either gets damaged by one of the updates or it dissappears and has to be redownloaded to bring back into play, either way this fixed the problem. I encourage that whoever has the same problem do just the same.

For future reference:

Download ODZIP.dll

Download copyfile (Run in same dir as ODZIP.dll)

Download both files to the same directory and run the second file. (make sure you're closed out of any program that might be using ODZIP.dll if the file still exists)
