Anti-WC Subscription Movement

Sunday, October 2, 2005 by indigonecro | Discussion: New Users

Hey All,

After being a jerk for about 14 hours and not knowing about it's features, I flamed WC about it's subscription which some may deem as required within time. I will have to say I extend my apologies to the Skin Artists, Admins and Mods. I was wrong in this instance. The WC Browser is unlike anything I've seen before in organizing and viewing content the way I want to. $30 or more a year would still be a steal for this browser alone not to mention all of the other great features. I can access My Account, News/Browser, Skins and Themes, Discussion and Chat all in one very well designed layout. In addition, the skins and themes are now (in essence) in an "windows explorer" style tree view. I love that. .. Just figured I'd put in my two cents since I gave the most grief about it. Hopefully, you all don't hate me .. But you'll learn in time, I have a couple marbles loose. (But, don't we all) I'm still a good guy. lol. Thanks again!

-Chris C.

Feels good to prove yourself wrong doesn't it?

I can honestly say that I have purchased all kinds of little tools and programs for my PC...many of them I have regreted...and many of them didn't give me anything near what I got when I purchased ObjectDesktop...and I have yet to have any regrets about my purchase of anything on WinCustomize or Stardock.

I do not see "Balding" as being an issue for me at any age..LoL

YuP..I know my family history...Gradfather dies at 94 with all his hair and teeth, and his hair was not yet completely gray..

Grandmother died at 98, her hair was also still mosly her natural color...

Then further back to my moms grandparents, same thing..etc..etc..

Im pretty confident..but hey, doesnt mean it cant happen, i'll admit that!

There is something to be said for exploring (and knowing) your heritage, so yes, you can afford to be fairly confident.

Now I could be wrong, but this brings up an idea of mine. Now I could be wrong, but I don't recall there being any screenshots of the skin browser before I signed up for Wincustomize. That might be different now I don't know. It would seem to me though that might be more helpful in the decision making process. Descriptions are nice, but as Laoran discovered, seeing it really made a difference.
I love using SDC to do it all. Only going to the main site to view the news, which I know I don't have to, but its a habit hehe.

Hmm.. Since I suck with making skins.. Perhaps with my next free time I'll make a WC website that shows your WC Subscription "in action", with screen shots and such.

ou should be in advertising.....

It's easy....just grow a ponytail....

That's funny, I started to grow my hair after I did Advertising. but I desided to do Modelmaking instead so now it's back to short.

Ah, I remember that one, I think... your best best would be to email a moderator with specific questions such as this.
