Changing Icons within Windows?!
Sunday, September 25, 2005 by IndigoRoses | Discussion: Icons
Hi All,I was hoping someone may be able to answer this for me. I want to be able to create icons to be used like Elvee's CoolRed, the round icons on each block. I plan on adding the words (ie: My Documents, My Computer etc.) to the icon itself
, this means that I DO NOT want windows to add the words under each icon. Does anyone know how I can go about doing this?Any & all suggestions are more than welcome!!
Thanks,
Heather

| Try a search at PCMag.com for "Title Free Icons". I believe its in their "Daily Tips" column. As I recall the method they show would be OK for a few icons but might prove rather tedious for a full icon set. G'luck to ya. |
Thank-You very much for the addy!! I went & copied the info to notepad. I actually did a search myself & got excited for a minute b/c I found this program Title Free, then realized it was only for Macs, so now I need to find someone who can do something similar for the PC!!!
Thanks again hachoo wilzer!!!

If you are referring to the globe zoomer icons, they can all be found here https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=3&view=1&sortby=4&sortdir=DESC&p=1&advanced=0&searchtxt=Misc%20Apps
You will need to use them along with DesktopX to create a desktop theme.
