Non Site Icons

How To Install Them

Thursday, September 22, 2005 by SamuelAdams | Discussion: Icons

I forget which site it was that I got these from, but it was a link in one of the posts from the galleries here... It's 2 sets of Icons that're zipped (named Sketch & Penstyle) I've tried to re-name the zips .IP, tried Exploring and Dragging and Dropping to the desktop and installing them into the Icon Packager that way... Saving them to my C-Drive and using the 'Search' in IP.. Nada...

How do I go about being able to use these icons through IP? Or can't I??
If not, could someone let me know how...

I do know how to change individual icons (folder icons) by right clicking and customizing through properties...

Thanks in advance

well they aren't full packages and weren't set up that way so changing the extension doesn't work.

Open IP, then on the left "icons and cursors" then you pick which group of what get which icon. for example, click the folder tab at the top of IP, find favorites, click change, browse to sketch, find the sketch favs icon, apply it.

Grrr... Not workin'

What I get is... a green 'plus' sign at the bottom left of where the icon I'm changing is...
Also a yellow triangle with an exclamation point with-in it at the top left...

Oh Yea, I know they need to be extracted... They've been unzipped to IP... Unzipped to a folder that I made on my C Drive, and also unzipped to a folder that I made on the desktop... None of these work. I'm out of ideas.

I'm using ver 3.00b.93.

I've never seen the yellow triangle. Do you have any other program as default to open icons? there was a post not too long ago, I just can't find it, and the issue ended up being the file association. since i can't find it, i may be talking out my butt.
