Limit the Height of Maximized Windows to stay below of my ObjectDock

I'm just starting to fool around with ObjectDock and so far I like it. I've seen others with their Dock running across the whole width of the screen. I'd like to add more icons to my ObjectDock, but if it gets much longer it will seriously interfere with program menus. Is there a way to have any and all program windows maximize to a certain point below the top of the screen, (like 50 pixels from top of screen or something) so that I could have a really long OD across most of the screen without it interfereing with the close/minimize buttons or program menus?

I can give you a workaround - until real answer comes along - if you don't use your task bar.
drag it up there - expand to where you want the window to stop - select keep it on top in properties, then have OD hide it.

I messed around real breifly with WindFX. But it seemed too much of a resource drain for the benefit at the moment. Version 2.5 sounds more interesting. But if I want to look more at it, how do I go about setting that set up? Do I have to set preferences for every single application I use, or can I set one preferance for all windows?

The window size is global. You can add apps to be excluded, but I've never used that. If you find WindowsFX uses resources you can turn everything else in there off and just use the 'maximize to specified size' feature.

You can change the workspace area with DesktopX as well.

If you edit the windowblind you're using in SkinStudio and adjust the Screen Edge Clip - Top value, that should do it.
