Running Programs Tray, Configurable?

Does anyone know how I can chang the behavior of the "Running Programs Tray"? I am trying to get it so that new events in minimized windows are more visible. Fro example, if I have a Trillian window minimized and I get a new msg it only flashes breifly. I would like it to change the icon or flash permanently. Thank you in advance for your support.

Trillian has a setting for this. In version 2 it's in Preferences > General > Windows > Flash windows when new text arrives > "Stop flashing windows after 10 flashes" When unchecked, the flash doesn't stop until you respond.

In version 3, I'm told it asks for a specific number of flashes. Setting this for a very high number is all you can do in this case.
