Help! Can't install ThinkDesk apps!
Sunday, September 11, 2005 by jvarnes | Discussion: ThinkDesk
I regestered my Think Desk subscription through tools -> register products. My serial number works, however it does NOT work with the individual apps.
KeepSafe installed and seems to work great.
ThinkSync initially installed, but when I try to run it I get an error message telling me there is a missing file (activate.exe) which is supposed to be in programfiles\stardock\thinkdesk\thinksync\.
Multiplicity and SecureProcess won't even install. They give me an error message of "Failed to validate your subscription or product information. Installation failed (9)"
The only other thing I can think of is my Stardock account is kind of old and I used a different email address when I purchased ThinkDesk - so my stardock account has one email address and my thinkdesk subscription has another. I did make sure that the email address I placed in the box for the ThinkDesk subscription was the new email and not the old one (i.e. it's the correct address for the purchase) and as I said I seem to be able to register it just not install it... weird.
Please help if possible. I would really like to use the 3 other apps that I paid for!?!
Thanks for any assitance.
