ObjectBar won't autoload

i recently moved on to use ObjectBar 2. i check the box in General Options to start when Windows starts but it doesn't. No matter what i've tried (entries in the registry, shortcuts in the Startup directory, etc.) have no affect. Am i missing something, or is this a known problem?
