Customizing Menu
Sunday, August 28, 2005 by krashnburn86 | Discussion: OS Customization
I'd just like clarification on how to customize this Nav bar in my desktop.
I recently got the Tabulator, so there are 7 Menu options on the upper left corner of the screen, that display internet, utilities, multimedia, and so forth... and i know i can delete/remove the ones i want...
However, i'd like to know where and/or how i can cutomize what is in the list that pops out once u click on a certain menu option. I know it's gotta be possible to be done, i probably just missed the right tool or place for it.
Thanks in advance guys.
T.

You will need to load DesktopX builder (just start DesktopX so the Welcome widget shows - or start the Welcome widget, and select create).
Once in builder mode, you can right-click on the object (image or text) and select properties. This will allow you to work with the object.
In the properties dialog, you can select targets, change text names, and use the summary tab to re-align text if you delete some and leave gaps.
Save when done, then return to client mode to prevent accidental changes, or stay in builder mode to edit at will.
I hope this helps.
