Tech Support Delay

Wednesday, August 24, 2005 by Tersiphone | Discussion: Requests

Has anyone had any experience dealing with StarDock tech support? I have sent them two emails over the past two weeks and have yet to hear a single thing back. Is this typical?

Not from my earlier experience.

You could post your problem in the Stardock Support section of this forum.

Maybe someone else has had the same problem and knows a fix.

(Or you could just post it here, since you already have an open thread.)

Did you get the autoreply and follow it's instructions?

If not then is it possible there's problem in your email settings with the return address?

Yes, if you didn't get an auto-response (or maybe even if you did), the reply could have been filtered into your Junk mail or caught by your spam filters.

Earlier experience was better. Although I subscribed on 10.10.05 by renewing my subscription to Object Desktop, somehow wincustomize keeps losing my right to download skins, etc.
Also, finding tech support isn't easy: there should be a link on wincustomize.com homepage...don't you think???

On the left of Wincustomize is a box called "Resources" that has contact information for the site admins (About this site").

I would suggest that you are correct Dr. J that, as a subscription service, a certain level of support should be expected and available (promoted even). I would suggets that the contact information for the admins also be listed in the "Subscriber Resources" page or even a "Report a Problem" form be put somewhere in there. That form could post to the forum as well as email T-man or whomever.

From my experiance though, a post to thte forums almost always resolves any questions or problems I have had {although my problem with "My Watchlist" not showing has not been addressed }.
