Sounds like sdmcp.exe isn't running. Open Stardock Central, go to Tools > Settings > General > make sure "Enable MCP notification area support" is checked. Reboot,...... all should be well.

ah ah! thank you! i'll try that and will get back to you (different pc. i know. i live in the middle ages - this one runs 98 and just doesn't handle too many knick knacks! ) i'd web-cheer you (and am) for replying so quickly! i had turned it off because i read it might be something that would conflict with somehting else... issues with my stardock central messing up my fonts... :SIGH:
thank you though! i've been trying to think of ways of getting rid of my task bar for ages!
wizop!

Oh my...., you're almost like magician to me! You didn't only solve problem of 2 years ago, you've helped sort out mine today. It upset and bothered me so much ever since all in a sudden my rightclick menu stopped showing the system tray. Now running sdmcp.exe that you pointed out has brought it back!! I'm just more than grateful, millions of thanks!!!! (My mega huge web hug as well Koasati, hehehe....)
