Addiction as - a compulsive, psychological and physiological dependence towards something...
and
Passion as - an eager outreaching of the mind towards some special object such as art, etc.
Passion is more rooted to a person's being:
While addiction can be (ahem)"rehabilitated"; passion can not. Wincustomize certainly is a passion for those who love art. While we call skinners as "artists", we should not forget that end-users of skins are also artist in their own way. Combining the works of skinners, arranging them them in the desktop, and making them functionally smooth, is a form of art itself. It is their passion, their desire to have a better desktop experience that drives them to visit Wincustomize as often as possible. It becomes rooted in their person. A person derives pleasure, enjoyment and fulfillment when he indulges in his passion. It makes him better.

Truth is, my time here at WC has given the wife a real stern look right now ( like she got beat with a misery stick) and I'm just too scared to be funny. Heaven forbid I get her to crack a smile a ruin a perfectly good temper tantrum

Starkers, my wife sometimes has that same stern look, and it's like Kryptonite to Stupendous Man. I'm faster than a T1 connection, able to leap 21-inch LCD monitors in a single bound, more powerful than a 3GHz processor. It's a bird, it's a plane, no! It's Stupendous Man! But that stern look? It's the one thing I have no power against. BTW, I just come back when she's not looking!

If I go, do I have to unhook the I.V. that runs from my right arm to a USB port?

Hope the other half doesn't see this. He (or she) might question their ability to please. Or maybe this skinning thing is just a stronger urge. .....naaaaahhh!
