Help Needed!

How to make the transparent correctly

I want to create an object backround: here's the bmp:

So help me what should i do in photoshop to make it correct. What do i do wrong??

I'm not sure, but I think you used a feather in photoshop...

I dont use photoshop, I use PSP, but The basics are probably similar. This is what I would probably do... Instead of using magic pink as the objects background, I would us a color similar to the color of the desktop pic. Select the object, then feather or expand the selection 1 or 2 pixles before shadowing it.

Yea but doesn't someone know what should i do if i really want it to have transparent background. Bc i change wallpapers often. I use psp(8) too but this time i tried in photoshop... In both programs the same thing...... And i used the photoshop's auto shadowmaker. I also tried without shadow but the pink still shows.

Try saving without the pink as background, leaving the background transparent and save as a png file.
