Customizing Themes

Yes, I'm quite a newbie when it comes to DesktopX stuff. For the past year, I've had the old Longhorn desktop theme loaded in DesktopX (the one that comes with it) and just left everything at their defaults. Now I've decided to go further and download a few themes and give them a whirl, since I was never fully satisfied with that Longhorn theme.
Well, I've found one or two that would fit the bill nicely, only I need to be able to customize them. We've all seen the DesktopX themes that have those "categories" menus or drawers. You open the Graphics menu and the list of all your graphics-related applications appears for you to choose from. Well, with each theme I download, there's a predetermined list of apps in each of those menus. I'd like to be able to remove some, add some new ones, and modify some existing ones. How do I go about doing this? If I'm not making much sense, let me know and I'll try to explain better. Thanks!

Ah, okay... Just those two things, eh? And how about if I want to add items? Somehow clone one of the existing items? Removing should be easy enough, I think.
I was kinda hoping for an easier, more intuitive method of adding items than going into the Developer mode and mucking around with properties... Something like dragging-and-dropping would have been nice. At any rate...

Now how about if I want to change the wallpaper? I can't just right-click on the desktop anymore and hit "Properties", going to the "Desktop" tab and choosing a new wallpaper; DesktopX takes over that right-click menu. I know some DesktopX Themes have a button that launches Wallpaper XChange, but as I noted in another post, the author's site has dead links for all his software, so that option is out of the question right now. How else can I change the wallpaper while a DesktopX Theme is active?

Gotcha. Now I have an alternative to use until the Wallpaper XChange download link gets fixed. Thanks!!

Once you are in the builder just right-click on the object you want to change and click on 'properties'. A new tabbed interface will pop up. On the first tab 'General' you can change the shortcut of any object to your preferred program. Once you have done that click on the "States" tab and adjust the text in the box to match the program of your choice.
Don't forget to save your desktop after you are done with your personalyzing... (right-click on the DesktopX builder icon in the system tray and "Save Desktop")
